Just a little note on how we got started making soap...

Years ago we discovered that our son was allergic to cows' milk. Our doctor knew that we lived in the country and suggested we get a goat and use her milk for our son. We followed the Doctor's advice and also developed a taste for good, homemade goat cheese. It was also during this time that my wife, (the artisan in our family), began experimenting with the art of soap making.

Well, the years passed. Our son grew up and I retired from my day job, thinking we would in out our days in the life we loved on our little ranch. My wife, always looking for an outlet for her creativity, wanted to try soap making again. After a little whining on my part, and promises of plenty of homemade goat cheese, we got back into goats.

My wife came up with, what we believe to be one of the best soaps around. She gave some of the soap away as gifts, and those folks strongly encouraged us to go into the soap business. So we did. And the rest they say, is history.
